Congratulations to 2023 CNT REU student Ryan Wang (Rice University) who has received the Rice University James S. Waters Creativity Award and Rice Engineering Alumni Leadership Excellence Award. Ryan is working in the laboratory of Amy Orsborn this summer.
Congratulations to UW Deparment of Bioengineering graduate student Karam Khateeb (Yazdan-Shahmorad Lab) who has been named a 2023 National Institute of Health D-SPAN Scholar.

CNT graduate student Linxing Preston Jiang and CNT co-director Rajesh Rao received a best paper award at the 2023 Cognitive Science Society conference for their manuscript titled ” Dynamic predictive coding explains both prediction and postdiction in visual motion perception.”

For five days in mid-July 2023, high school students from around the world participated in the CNT Young Scholar REACH (YSP-REACH). YSP-REACH was created to promote interest and increase knowledge about neuroscience and neural engineering in high school students.
