The CNT Young Scholars Program-REACH hosted 76 high school students (18 students in-person; 58 students online; July 11-15, 2022) for a week of activities to learn about neural engineering and neuroscience. Students heard from CNT faculty members Chet Moritz, Amy Orsborn, Sara Goering and Dave Wolczyk and participated in other activities to encourage them to pursue academic pathways in science, technology, engineering and math.

Sara Goering were recently awarded a new NIH R01 in neuroethics titled “Caring for BRAIN Pioneers: Understanding and enhancing family and researcher support in neural device trials.” This four-year award for $1.39 million will run from July 1, 2022 to May 31, 2026.
